Re: Love that Bob |
That's funny. Can anyone confirm this.....
Did Bob do a collaboration or web stream with the teenage pop group Hanson? This was post garcia and the teen band had a hit of sorts. He might have sat in with them or something. If it's true, a weird combo to say the least.

Isn't It Weir? Hanson Jams With Dead Guitarist

(2/16/99, 1 p.m. PST) - In one of the strangest pairings in recent history, teen pop trio Hanson made a special guest appearance at Bob Weir's show Saturday night at the Wetlands in New York.
The situation would have been perfect for the brothers Hanson to perform their hit ballad "Weird," perhaps even dropping the "D" in honor of the Grateful Dead singer/ guitarist. Instead, however, Hanson joined Weir, Rob Wasserman, and Jay Lane on five songs--a cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower," Weir's own "One More Saturday Night," and such blues classics as "Wang Dang Doodle" and "Going Down The Road."
The unusual pairing was the grand finale of Weir's three-night stand celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Wetlands nightclub. In a statement, Wetlands owner Pete Shapiro, who was the mastermind behind the Hanson guest spot, said, "It was a magical moment, something that people who were there will remember for the rest of their lives. To have the essence of counterculture in America onstage with the epitome of American pop music at the Wetlands at two in the morning was very surreal."
